Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the first governing board meeting of the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) on 10 September 2024.
- The meeting was also attended by Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister of Education as the Vice-President of Governing Body.
- The newly established ANRF, created by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation Act 2023, aims to foster a strengthened research ecosystem across the country.
- During the meeting, several groundbreaking programs were introduced to bolster India’s scientific capabilities and global competitiveness.
- ANRF acts as an apex body to provide high-level strategic direction of scientific research in the country as per recommendations of the National Education Policy.
- ANRF forges collaborations among the industry, academia, and government departments and research institutions.
