Yogi Adityanath took oath as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh on March 25.
- Yogi Adityanath has become the first chief minister of Uttar Pradesh to return to power after completing a full tenure of five years.
- He was sworn in along with 52 Ministers, including Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brijesh Pathak as Deputy CMs at the Atal Behari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.
- Danish Azad Ansari is the lone Muslim face in the new cabinet.
- Five women were also sworn in as ministers in the Yogi Adityanath Cabinet 2.0.
- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won 255 seats in its kitty, the BJP was well past the required mark of 202 to win the right to lead the 403-seat assembly.
- Its allies Apna Dal(S) and Nishad Party clinched 12 and 6 seats respectively.
- The BJP claimed a voting share percentage of 41 percent this time in UP. The next on the list was Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party that claimed a voting share percentage of 32 per cent.
