World’s first compressed natural gas (CNG) port terminal will come at Bhavnagar , Gujarat.
State Chief Minister Vijay Rupani headed Gujarat Infrastructure Development Board on November 10m, 2019 gave its approval for this facility.
The port terminal will be established with the proposed investment of Rs 1900 crore.
The port terminal will be developed jointly by Foresight Group (UK) and Mumbai-based Padmanabh Mafatlal Group.
The Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB) had signed an MoU with Foresight Group to set up Bhavnagar port terminal in the Vibrant Gujarat Summit held in January 2019.
The proposed CNG port terminal will have a capacity to handle 1.5 million metric tonne per annum (MMTPA).
