Designers in Denmark have created the world’s biggest sandcastle, which stands more than 69 feet tall.
- A sandcastle is a basic model of a castle that is built out of the sand, typically by children. Building sandcastles is considered to be the favourite pastime on beaches anywhere in the world.
- Denmark sandcastle creation features over 5,000 tons of sand and beats out the previous biggest sandcastle in Germany by more than 10 feet, according to Guinness World Records.
- The sandcastle is in Blokhus, Denmark, and features local ties such as beach houses and lighthouses, windsurfing and kite surfing.
