- Earlier, EAM Dr. S Jaishankar addressed the Foreign Ministers’ Session of the Voice of Global South Summit under the theme- ‘Priorities of Global South- Ensuring a Conducive Environment’.
India’s points
- The world is becoming increasingly volatile and uncertain for the South. Therefore, the Voice of the Global South Summit has become particularly important as it provides a platform for developing countries to share their concerns, perspectives, and priorities.
- India stands for 3 sensitive shifts in its case for a ‘Global South sensitive’ model. These shifts include, moving from self-centered globalization to human-centered globalization, from being on the receiving end of technological patronage, to deploying Global South-led innovations for societal transformation and from debt creating projects to a demand-driven and sustainable development cooperation.
