Bangladesh Navy (BN) and the US military personnel is conducting the annual Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) maritime exercise virtually in the Bay of Bengal.
- The nine-day engagement focusses on a full spectrum of naval capabilities and features Cooperative activities that highlighted the ability of US and Bangladesh to work together toward the common goal of ensuring a free and open Indo-pacific.
- Bangladesh Navy has been taking part in the CARAT exercise since 2011. CARAT exercise is observing its 27th anniversary. It is designed to address shared maritime security concerns and strengthen partnerships between regional navies.
