- Protected Area Network:
- As of November 27, 2023, India’s network of 1014 Protected Areas (including 106 National Parks, 573 Wildlife Sanctuaries, 115 Conservation Reserves, and 220 Community Reserves) spans about 175,169.42 km² or roughly 5.32% of the country’s geographical area.
