UNDP launches video campaign “Don’t choose extinction”

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has launched “Not to choose extinction” video campaign which shows a dinosaur asking the United Nations General Assembly to act immediately to avoid ‘extinction’ at the hands of climate change.

  • The UNDP let ‘Frankie the Dino’ be their mascot to urge everyone not to choose “extinction” and act before it’s too late.
  • The UNDP brought the extinct species to life using CGI (Computer-generated imagery) as part of a campaign in which the prehistoric creature dinosaur asks human beings, “At least we had an asteroid. What’s your excuse?”
