Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan stressed the need to reaffirm Global South commitments and find innovative solutions towards mobilising financing for development, reforming the international financial architecture, and facilitating South-South cooperation.
- He was addressing the Plenary session of the Third South Summit in Kampala, Uganda.
- The summit was held with the theme of”Leaving No One Behind”.
- Third South Summit was held in Africa, in Kampala, Uganda, on 21st – 23rd January 2024.
- The South Summit is the supreme decision-making body of the Group of 77.
- The First and the second south summits were held in Havana, Cuba, on 10 – 14th April 2000 and in Doha, Qatar, on 12th – 16th June 2005, respectively.
