SpaceX on August 29, 2021 launched its 21st rocket of the year sending a robotic Dragon cargo capsule toward the International Space Station (ISS) before nailing a landing at sea.
- The rocket was launched from Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, kicking off the company’s 23rd cargo resupply mission to the orbiting lab for NASA.
- After hoisting the Dragon capsule, the first-stage booster landed upright on SpaceX’s newest ocean platform, named “A Shortfall of Gravitas.”
- The rocket carried ants, fresh food including avocados, lemons and even ice cream and a human-sized robotic arm as test subjects.
