Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on January 25 flagged off SANJAY – The Battlefield Surveillance System (BSS).

Key Features of SANJAY:

  • Integrated Inputs: It synthesizes data from ground and aerial sensors, ensuring accuracy by confirming veracity, eliminating duplications, and fusing inputs into a unified Common Surveillance Picture.
  • Connectivity: Operates through a secured Army Data Network and Satellite Communication Network, ensuring reliable transmission of critical information.
  • Centralized Web Application: Provides real-time inputs to Command & Army Headquarters and supports the Indian Army Decision Support System.
  • Advanced Sensors and Analytics: Utilizes state-of-the-art technologies to monitor vast land borders, detect intrusions, and deliver high-accuracy situational assessments.
  • Force Multiplier: Enhances Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR), providing a significant advantage in battlefield transparency and operational planning.
