The Rajasthan Government has launched a unique scheme named “Back to Work” for providing regular or work-from-home employment to the women who have had to quit their earlier jobs because of family reasons.
- The “Back to Work” scheme will be operated with the help of the private sector.
- Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on November 30, 2021 approved the scheme, as part of which a target was set to provide employment to 15,000 women in the next three years. Priority will be given to widows, divorcees and victims of violence.
- The Directorate of Women’s Empowerment will develop a single window system in collaboration with the corporate social responsibility groups to create employment opportunities for women willing to come back to work.
- The Rajasthan Knowledge Corporation Limited will also organise skills training programmes to make them employable.
