- The King of Bhutan had announced the conferment of the award during Bhutan’s 114th National Day celebrations held at the Tashichhodzong, Thimphu in December 2021.

- Two sides signed six agreements to bolster cooperation in areas ranging from energy to space. India will provide Rs.10,000 crore as financial support to Bhutan over the next five years.
