Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated a virtual police station where people can lodge complaints from their respective districts regarding theft of their vehicles without visiting Police Station.
- The e-police station will function from State Crime Records Bureau in Bhubaneswar.
- The state Chief Minister also launched road accident case documents module and medico legal opinion system projects of Odisha Police.
- This facility will benefit the people for claiming insurance in motor vehicle theft cases. The road accident case documents module is a web-based application.
- Through this web-based application, victims of road accidents as well as insurance companies can download documents like FIR, final form, spot map, MVI report, inquest, post-mortem report, driving licence, and registration certificates.
