The northern pig tailed macaque (Macaca leonina) is distributed throughout northeastern India. In India Pig tailed Macaque is found towards north of the Brahmaputra river.
- It is also found in Bherjan-Boraian-Padumoni Wildlife Sanctuary of Assam.
