Nitish Kumar was sworn-in as Chief Minister of Bihar for the seventh time and a record fourth consecutive term on November 16, 2020.
- He took oath with two deputy chief ministers – Tarkishore Prasad and Renu Devi from the BJP – in the cabinet namely.
- Bihar Governor Phagu Chauhan administered the oath of office and secrecy to Mr Kumar at Raj Bhavan in Patna.
- 14 other ministers were also sworn in along with Mr Kumar. Out of them, seven are from BJP, five from JD (U) and one each from Vikassheel Insaan Party( VIP) and Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM).
- The Bihar assembly elections results were declared around midnight on November 10-November 11, with the ruling coalition – NDA winning 125 in the 243-member assembly, against Mahagathbandhan’s 110.
