- Minister for Electronics and IT Ravi Shankar Prasad on December 6, 2018 launched National Challenge – ‘Ideate for India – creative solutions using technology’ for school students in New Delhi.
- The challenge will help empower the youth to become the next generation of innovators and technology creators. Over 10 lakh students will participate in the challenge.
- Speaking on the occasion, Mr Prasad said, the Challenge will focus on the rural youth and it aims at conversion of dreams of children into idea leading to development of working solutions. He said, several digital initiatives taken by the Government like the BHIM App has empowered the citizens digitally and there is an upliftment in quality of life of rural population.
- ‘Ideate For India’ national challenge is a joint collaboration between National e-governance Division and Intel India, supported by the Department of School Education and Literacy of Ministry of Human Resources Development.
