- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu launched ‘Bhudhaar’, programme on November 20, 2018 at Undavalli.
- It will consist of an 11-digit unique figure aimed at enabling easy identification of details of the land parcel.
- As per the Chief Minister, as part of the efforts to protect the lands in the State and make the Revenue Department corruption-free, the State government has been taking many initiatives, the latest being ‘Bhudhaar’, which is the first of its kind in the country.
- The C.M. said it would put an end to irregularities in land registration and corruption.
- Mr. Naidu also said that the TDP government had streamlined the land records in the combined Andhra Pradesh, but the subsequent governments “misused the data available in the land records” only to encroach upon the lands with forged documents.
