Recently, the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) Deemed to be University was inaugurated at 12 locations including 5 locations in North Eastern States.
- NIELIT Deemed to be University, the only university under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), was dedicated to the nation during an event held in Guwahati.
- The National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), an Autonomous Scientific Society under MeitY, has been conferred the status of “Deemed to Be University” under the distinct category by the Ministry of Education.
- With its main campus at Ropar (Punjab) and eleven constituent units located in Aizawl, Agartala, Aurangabad, Calicut, Gorakhpur, Imphal, Itanagar, Kekri, Kohima, Patna, and Srinagar, NIELIT Deemed to Be University aims to revolutionize higher education in digital technologies.
