NASA’s SpaceX Crew-9 Back on Earth After Science Mission

NASA’s SpaceX Crew-9 has successfully completed its ninth commercial crew rotation mission to the International Space Station (ISS), splashing down in the Gulf of Mexico off the coast of Tallahassee, Florida, on March 20, 2025.

Mission Highlights:

  • Williams & Wilmore launched aboard Boeing’s Starliner on June 5, 2024, and arrived at the ISS on June 6.
  • Total Distance Traveled: 121,347,491 miles
  • Time Spent in Space: 286 days
  • Orbits Completed: 4,576 around Earth
  • Spacecraft Used: Dragon Freedom (its fourth mission)

  • Crew-9’s return follows the successful docking of NASA’s SpaceX Crew-10 on March 16, marking the start of another long-duration science expedition aboard the ISS.
