- The Tamil Nadu government launched the Moringa Export Zone as part of the 2021-22 Agricultural Budget. This initiative covers nine districts and includes the Moringa Special Export Service Centre in Madurai.
- The global moringa export market is estimated at ₹1,000 crore by 2025, with moringa leaf powder alone accounting for ₹600 crore, according to the APEDA. Meeting this demand requires 11,000 acres of moringa leaf cultivation.
