Gambia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Telecommunications Consultants India Ltd (TCIL) on March 6, 2020 to participate in the the e-Vidya Bharti (Tele-education) and e-Arogya Bharti (Tele-medicine) Project (e-VBAB).
The Gambia is the 16th country to participate in this e-Network Project.

External Affairs Minister of India Dr S. Jaishankar had formally launched the e-Vidya Bharti (Tele-education) and e-Arogya Bharti (Tele-medicine) Project (e-VBAB) on 7th October 2019.
The project enables African students to access premier Indian education through the comforts of their homes and offer Indian medical expertise to African doctors and patients alike.
