The South Korean gaming company Krafton has unveiled its first images of virtual human Ana. This is powered by hyperrealism, rigging, and deep learning.
- The company said that Ana has been designed to “engage a global audience and help establish Krafton’s Web 3.0 ecosystem”.
- Krafton is best-known for games like PUBG and the upcoming Callisto Protocol.
- The company has used deep learning tech like advanced voice synthesis to help create Ana’s voice so that “she can act and sing like a real human”.
- With human-like features, such as the baby hairs and fluff on her skin, Ana truly looks, unlike any other virtual human that currently exists through other technologies, says the company.
- Krafton plans to set Ana up on its new metaverse platform, called “Interactive Virtual World,” one of several digital spaces rolling out from major tech companies worldwide.
- Ana and her future digital siblings will serve as virtual hosts and friends to visitors, guiding them through activities and games in the metaverse.
- Virtual human is a computer-generated moving image of a human being, used esp in films as an extra in large crowd scenes.
