Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on October 12, 2020 declared the state public education sector completely digital as it has become the first state in the country to have high-tech classrooms in all its public schools.
- Kerala has successfully completed the hi-tech smart class project in government schools with financial aid from KIIFB as part of the Public Education Rejuvenation Mission.
- Public education rejuvenation missions were implemented in the State as part of the Public Education Rejuvenation Mission.
- Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE) has implemented the project which comes under the general education department.
