Kerala became first state to have high-tech digital classrooms in all its public schools

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on October 12, 2020 declared the state public education sector completely digital as it has become the first state in the country to have high-tech classrooms in all its public schools.

  • Kerala has successfully completed the hi-tech smart class project in government schools with financial aid from KIIFB as part of the Public Education Rejuvenation Mission.
  • Public education rejuvenation missions were implemented in the State as part of the Public Education Rejuvenation Mission.
  • Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE) has implemented the project which comes under the general education department.
