Union Minister of State Dr Jitendra Singh on February 12, 2020 launches CPGRAMS Reforms at a National Workshop on e-Office in Delhi.
During launch session, he said that there is nearly 10 fold increase in Public Grievance cases since 2014.
- Delivering the Key Note address at the National Workshop on e-Office , the Minister said that public grievances has increased from 2 lakh in 2014 to 19 lakh at present with more than 95 percent disposal of cases.
- He also said that the Government 2019 has received 18.7 lakh public grievances and disposed 18.1 lakh of them.
- The CPGRAMS 7.0 version has mapped last mile grievance officers, saving time and improving quality of disposal.
- CPGRAMS Reforms were launched in the Ministry of External Affairs, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, the Department of School Education and the Ministry of Road Transport.
- The adoption of CPGRAMS reforms in Hospitals and Oil PSU’s would benefit thousands of Indian citizens and urged Other Ministries/ Departments to adopt this significant reform step.
About CPGRAMS
- The Centralized Public Grievance Redress And Monitoring System, is an online web-enabled system over NICNET developed by NIC in association with the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) with an objective of speedy redress and effective monitoring of grievances by Ministries/Departments/Organizations of Government of India.
- CPGRAMS is an Integrated application system, based on web technology which primarily aims at submission of grievances by the aggrieved citizens from any where and any time (24×7) basis for instant and easy communication between the nodal PG officers of Government Organizations and citizens resulting in the speedy redress of their grievances.
- The objective is to ensure online availability of the grievance system to the citizens thereby providing him/her facilities to lodge the grievances, find the status, send reminders etc., irrespective of their geographical location.
