ISRO launches RH-560

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on March 12, 2021 launched RH-560-a sounding rocket from Sriharikota launch pad.

  • The objective behind this launch is to study attitudinal variations in the neutral winds and plasma dynamics.
  • The RH-560 belongs to the Rohini series rocket soundings.
  • According to the ISRO, sounding rockets are one or two-stage solid propellant rockets used for probing the upper atmospheric regions and for space research.
