Irfan Pathan announces retirement from all forms of Cricket

All-rounder Indian Cricketer Irfan Pathan on January 4, 2020 announced his retirement from all forms of Cricket.

  • Irfan made his Team India debut at the age of 19 in 2003 in Adelaide against Australia, he returned 1 for 160 – with Matthew Hayden being his maiden international victim .
  • He last played for India in October 2012.
  • He played 29 Tests, 120 ODIs and 24 T20Is.
  • He was part of the victorious Indian team at the 2007 World T20 and was the man-of-the-match in the final against Pakistan.
  • In 2006 he became the second Indian after Harbhajan Singh to take a Test hat-trick, removing Salman Butt, Younis Khan and Mohammad Yusuf during the Karachi game.
