The International Resource Panel (IRP) was launched by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in 2007 to build and share the knowledge needed to improve our use of resources worldwide.
- The Government of India is a member of the Steering Committee of the International Resource Panel (IRP).
- The Panel aims to provide independent, coherent and authoritative scientific assessments of policy relevance on the sustainable use of natural resources.
- IRP investigates the world’s most critical resource issues with a view to developing practical solutions for government policymakers, industry and society.
