India helps construction of Shree Narad Adarsha Education Campus in Nepal

  • Government of India has built new infrastructure at Shree Narad Adarsha Education Campus in Udayapur District of Nepal. Former Urban Development Minister of Nepal and Member of Parliament Dr. Narayan Khadka, inaugurated new building at Chaudandigadhi Municipality in Udayapur District on May 18, 2019.
  • As part of Development Partnership Programme, Government of India is providing assistance to institutions at all levels from primary schools to universities in Nepal.
  • The new construction has been carried out with the Government of India’s grant assistance of 30.20 million Nepalese Rupees.
  • The two story building is comprising of 12 class rooms, library, meeting hall, separate toilets for boys and girls and furniture.
  • The newly built infrastructure will not only boost learning environment of students but also enhance access to education to rural students of Udayapur and adjoining districts, including Bhojpur, Khotang, Sunsari and Saptari.
  • About Shree Narad Adarsha Education Campus
  • Shree Narad Adarsha Education Campus was established in 1971 as a Secondary School and subsequently upgraded as a Campus in 2003.
  • It is affiliated with Tribhuvan University (TU) and offers 4 years Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programme.

Development Administration Partnership (DPA)

  • The Development Administration Partnership (DPA) was created in the Ministry of External Affairs (India) in January 2012 to effectively handle India’s aid projects through the stages of concept, launch, execution and completion.
  • India’s development partnership is based on the needs identified by the partner countries and the effort of the Ministry is geared towards accommodating as many of the requests received from partner countries as is technically and financially possible.
