INS Vela, the fourth Scorpene-class submarine was commissioned into the Indian Navy on November 25, 2021 at the naval dockyard in Mumbai.
- The P-75 project represents the growing strategic congruence between the two nations, India and France.
- Designated as Yard 11878 during its construction, INS Vela is the fourth Scorpene-class submarine built by MDL in collaboration with Naval Group of France. Construction began in July 2009. The submarine was named INS Vela in May 2019.
