On January 15, 2025, a historic milestone was achieved for the Indian Navy with the commissioning of three frontline platforms — INS Nilgiri, INS Vaghsheer, and INS Surat — on the same day. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi presided over the commissioning ceremony at the Naval Dockyard in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
