India’s first Cyber Crime Prevention Unit ‘AASHVAST’ inaugurated in Gandhinagar

Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah on January 11, 2020 inaugurated various people centric projects of Gujarat Police and Indian Postal Department at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar .

The projects include:

VISWAS project: Video Integration and StateWide Advance Security.

Netrang’ project: To establish Command and Control Room in 33 districts,.

AASHVAST: Online portal to pay E Challan and Cyber Crime Prevention Unit-which will have a dedicated service helpline for victims of cyber crimes.

During inauguration the Home Minister said that the two projects VISWAS and AASHVAST will play a key role in preventing crimes in the state.

The Minister also inaugurated six different postal memory cards depicting various folk dances of Gujarat. The Minister dedicated free Wi Fi system at Gandhinagar Railway Station.
