Indian Embassy in Beijing launched a movie series “cinemaSCOpe” exclusively for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation on December 12, 2020.
- In this movie series, more than two dozen Indian films dubbed in Russian, will be screened on a monthly basis.
- The movie screening began with ‘Three Idiots’ and will continue till India’s chairmanship of the SCO ‘Council of Heads of State’ meeting in 2023.
- The event was jointly inaugurated by Indian Ambassador to China Vikram Misri and SCO Secretary General Vladimir Norov.
- India continued its diplomatic outreach to the SCO countries riding on the popularity of Indian cinema in the region.
