India improved its ranking from 47 to 10 in the United Nation’s ITU Global Cybersecurity Agenda (GCA). The US is ranked first, followed by the UK.
- In 2018, India was ranked on the 47th spot.
- With improvement, India entered the top 10 of a global cybersecurity ranking of countries, ahead of China at No.33, and Pakistan at No.79.
- According to the International Telecommunications Union, or ITU, a specialised UN agency, the ranking is based on four pillars: legal measures, technical measures, capacity building measures and organisational measures.
