- Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on February 5, 2018 launched the ‘Gobardhan Yojana’ to provide for the sale of organic manure and cow urine with an aim to benefit farmers.
- A provision of Rs 11 crore has been made to provide benefits of various projects under this scheme.
- According to the Chief Minister, The Gobardhan Yojana would help in doubling the income of farmers.
- The Chief Minister also announced that the State Government has already launched ‘Bhavantar Bharpayi Yojna‘ to compensate farmer on production cost. Under this scheme minimum prices of onion, potato and tomato have been fixed. The Central Government has also launched operation Green Scheme on this liine.
- Union Finance Minister Shri Arun Jaitley has also announced the ‘Gobar-Dhan’ scheme in Union Budget-2018-19.
