Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel has announced that the state Government will start Deendayal clinics in towns and cities which have more than one lakh population.
- He said that such medical infrastructure will offer medical services to the poor people at their doorstep.
- Deendayal clinics will be open in urban and semi-urban pockets on OPD basis which will work during 4 pm to 9 pm.
- Such clinics will be in addition to the urban health centers already functioning in the state.
- Patients who need hospitalization will be referred to the nearest hospital by such clinics. Medical consultation and treatment in such clinics will be totally free of cost.
- Deendayal clinics will offer health services to the poor people who cannot reach urban health centers.
