Top 3 Most Affected Countries:
- Burkina Faso – Most affected country
- Pakistan – Second-most affected country
- Terror attacks doubled from 517 in 2023 to 1,099 in 2024.
- First time attacks exceeded 1,000 since the index’s inception.
- Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and other militant groups are key contributors.
- Syria – Third-most affected country
India’s Ranking:
- Ranked 14th in the Global Terrorism Index 2025.
- Although affected, India has seen relative stability compared to its neighbors.
