Three manufacturing facilities from India- Cipla’s Indore facility, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories’ Hyderabad facility and the Mondelez facility in Sri City have bagged recognition as part of the Global Lighthouse Network (GLN) by the World Economic Forum (WEF).
About Global Lighthouse Network
- The Global Lighthouse Network is a platform to develop, replicate and scale innovations, creating opportunities for cross-company learning and collaboration.
- 114 manufacturing sites are part of the network, prioritizing workforce and skills development to protect jobs and build resiliency.
- The World Economic Forum’s Global Lighthouse Network is a community of leading manufacturing sites and value chains applying Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0 or 4IR) technologies to increase efficiency and productivity, along with environmental stewardship.
- The Global Lighthouse Network was pioneered in 2018. As of October 2022, 114 manufacturing sites are part of the network, prioritizing workforce and skills development to protect jobs and build resiliency.
- The 114 manufacturing sites span over 75 regions and a diverse range of industries including healthcare, electronics, pharmaceuticals, automotive, and more.
- They are leading the way in demonstrating how Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies can increase profit, with a positive impact on the environment.
