Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers Girish Chandra Murmu has been appointed as Lt. Governor of Jammu-Kashmir. Murmu, a 1985-batch Gujarat cadre officer, is serving as the Expenditure Secretary in the Union Finance Ministry .
R K Mathur has been appointed as Lt. Governor of Ladakh. He is a 1977-batch officer and has served as the Defence Secretary and is a former Chief Information Commissioner (CIC).
Mr P.S. Sreedharan Pillai has been appointed the new Governor of Mizoram. The incumbent Governor of the Jammu and Kashmir Satya Pal Malik has been moved to Goa.
