On the occasion of National Voter Day, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad on January 25, 2021 presented five new voters with their Digital Voter ID cards ( e-EPIC).
- While only newly enrolled electors with unique mobile number during SSR 2021 can download e-EPIC from 25th January to 31st January 2021 – this facility will be extended to all other electors from 1st February 2021 onwards.
- The digital version of EPICs would be available for download from the voter helpline app, voterportal.eci.gov.in and nvsp.in, the EC said.
- The e-EPIC would be a non-editable PDF version of the EPIC that can be downloaded on the phone and stored on the DigiLocker app or printed from a computer.
- The e-EPIC is equally valid as a proof of document for voter identification.
- It can be printed at the convenience of the voter and can being it as proof during polling.
