The Central Government has approved an investment proposal of Rs 687 crore for the Dhaulasidh Hydro Electric Project in Himachal Pradesh.
- The 66-Megawatt project was a run of river scheme on the Beas at Dhulasidh, about 10 km downstream of Sujanpur in Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh.
- It is a concrete gravity dam— 70m high and 195m long.
- The dam would create a reservoir of about 20 km.
- The project will generate 304 million units of energy annually.
