- Known for her courage and selfless service, Mata Karma traveled to the holy city of Puri to seek Lord Krishna’s blessings, where she humbly prepared khichdi, a traditional dish, at the request of the temple servants.
- Legend has it that Lord Krishna accepted her offering, and this sacred tradition has since become a lasting part of the rituals at the Jagannath Temple.
