The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on January 25, 2021 addressed the Climate Adaptation Summit hosted by the Netherlands, convened global leaders and local stakeholders.
- The online international Climate Adaptation Summit (CAS) 2021 was held on 25 and 26 January.
- The Summit saw the launch of a comprehensive Adaptation Action Agenda, setting out clear commitments to deliver concrete new endeavours and partnerships to make our world more resilient to the effects of climate change.
- At UNCAS 2019, the Global Commission on Adaptation presented its flagship report ‘Adapt Now’ and announced additional action to accelerate climate adaptation along Action Tracks outlined in the report. CAS 2021 concludes a Year of Action launched by Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte in 2019.
