- CICA is the Conference on Interaction & Confidence Building Measures in Asia.
- The Minister underlined India’s commitment to a pluralistic cooperative security order in Asia through CICA.
- Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) is a multi-national forum for enhancing cooperation towards promoting peace, security and stability in Asia.
- The idea of convening the CICA was first proposed by the First President of Kazakhstan – Mr. Nursultan Nazarbayev, on 5 October 1992, at the 47th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
- The First Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs held in Almaty on 14 September 1999.
- CICA Secretariat, the administrative body of CICA is located in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan.
- It is a 27 member countries organization including India.
