Russia and China held joint naval exercise “Joint Sea 2021” in the Sea of Japan on October 14 and 15 and practised how to operate together and destroy floating enemy mines with artillery fire.
- The exercises kicked off with a ceremony in Russia’s Peter the Great Gulf and ran through October 15.
- This was the first time China has sent anti-submarine warfare planes and destroyers of more than 10,000 tons in displacement for exercises abroad.
