- In the event, the Assam government is to distribute financial assistance of 3 thousand rupees each to nearly 7.5 lakh people belonging to tea garden areas.
- On this occasion, Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries, Rameshwar Teli said that the Centre and Assam government are taking various steps for the welfare of the tea areas people in Assam.
