Bhupendra Patel sworn-in as chief minister of Gujarat

BJP MLA from Ghatlodiya seat Mr. Bhupendra Patel has been sworn-in as the 17th chief minister of Gujarat on September 13, 2021.

  • Governor Acharya Devvrat administered the oath of office to him at Rajbhavan.
  • Mr. Bhupendra Patel has succeeded Vijay Rupani who had resigned from the post of Gujarat Chief Minister.
  • H Bhupendra Patel won the 2017 Gujarat Legislative Assembly polls from Ghatlodia constituency, defeating Congress candidate Shashikant Patel by over one lakh votes, the highest winning margin in the elections.
