Men’s singles: Serbia’s Novak Djokovic won his record 8th Men’s singles title in the Australian Open at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on February 2, 2020. He defeated Dominic Thiem of Austria 6-4, 4-6, 2-6, 6-3, 6-4.
Women’s Singles: American Sofia Kenin won her first Grand Slam title with victory over Spain’s Garbine Muguruza at the Australian Open. Kenin won 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 against two-time major winner Muguruza in Melbourne on February 1, 2020. Kenin, who turned 21 in November, is the youngest Australian Open champion since Russian Maria Sharapova in 2008.
Men’s Doubles: The men’s doubles title was clinched by Joe Salisbury of UK and American Rajeev Ram who beat Australia’s Luke Saville and Max Purcell by 6-4, 6-2.
Women’s Doubles: The women’s doubles title was clinched by Timea Babos and Kristina Mladenovic, who defeated Hsieh Su-wei and Barbora Strýcová, by 6–2, 6–1.
Mixed Doubles: The mixed doubles title was won by Barbora Krejčiková and Croatia Nikola Mektić , who defeated Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Jamie Murray.
