The 21-year-old Arya Rajendran has been elected as next Mayor of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
- She was sworn-in as the youngest mayor of Thiruvananthapuram Corporation, the largest urban body in Kerala
- She successfully contested the recent civic polls in Kerala. She won from the Mudavanmughal ward of the city corporation, bagging 2,872 votes.
- Ms Rajendran has been associated with the CPI(M) from a very young age.
