Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 21 January 2024 visited the Arichal Munai, near Dhanushkodi in Tamil Nadu, as part of his Ramayana-connect tour in the state.
- Arichal Munai is the starting point of the Ram Setu.
- He paid floral tributes at the spot where Lord Ram is believed to have engineered a bridge to reach Lanka.
- The visit comes a day before the pran-pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla idol in Ayodhya where Modi will be the chief guest.
